Hello dear readers, listeners, watchers and well-wishers!
Today’s post is unique in that I am asking for some financial support in the form of donations to help with maintaining my research, writing, podcasting and other media. At the moment I am looking just to meet current expenses (for the website, recording services, graphic and design software, podcast distribution services and other costs in the maintenance, production and distribution of articles, podcasts and videos. It’s a costly process, and one that so far has only drained my funds rather than providing any new ones.
I am working on some longer-term methods of monetizing content, making videos, building a podcast and website audience, utilizing social media, producing written content to purchase, and I recently just created my own Substack account which you can (and should!) follow and subscribe to here!
There are many ways you can help. Much of the struggle to get your content seen and read and watched is trying to understand and utilize the algorithms that dominate our social media universe. It has become increasingly hard (and expensive) to try to break through algorithmic restrictions, and it is rarely helped when the content you are producing is highly political and highly critical of existing power structures, which the tech oligarch algorithms are largely designed to support. Some of the free and easy ways you can help support me in this effort is to *like* the content I share, comment on it, share it yourself (forwarding by email, posting on social media, sending to friends and family). The more you engage with the content, the more algorithms will push it. Every bit helps!
Another way you can help support is by providing a one-time or even monthly donation to help me meet the existing costs so that I can continue this work and expand the scope and content forms. I’ve got much more coming your way in the coming weeks, so stay tuned! Fill out the donation button below!
Every form of support is a great help for which I am eternally grateful, so thank you in advance for any and all support you are able to provide.
Thank you sincerely,
Andrew Gavin Marshall

You know the problem I have is that although I support your efforts, it’s the sheer number of projects, like yours, that are all looking for financial support. If I gave to everyone of them, I surely would be broke. It seems to be an insurmountable problem, one that’s not confined to media projects but that extends to our political projects. What’s the solution? Some while back I advocated for some kind of consolidation, where all the various media projects could combine to support a single media outlet that they all supported, that they collectively finance but the obstacles are immediately obvious. The days of a ‘leading’ political voice are no more, yet without a collective voice that can rise above the babble, we remain a fractured, atomised sea of voices. It reflects the demise of our political culture, in the West especially, where it’s needed the most.
Have only my pension but I give a fiver here and a fiver there but it’s a drop in the ocean. Some kind of ‘syndication’ is the answer but how to achieve it?
